How to be dangerous to the patriarchy

Reader, hey you.

Being dangerous to the patriarchy and finding peace in the pursuit of a life of immense accomplishment ⚑️ and profound peace πŸ•Š are one and the same thing.

It's a path of less overwhelm and more ease, saying no to hustle and yes to pleasure.

And these qualities – slowing down, ease, pleasure, patience βœ¨β€“ are more difficult for some of us.

If you would self describe as bold, ambitious, fierce πŸ’₯, a leader, compassionate, empathetic, and heart-centered πŸ’›, then these qualities are more challenging for us.

For women like this, we (I say "we" because this is 100% me) are known as Pittas in the ancient healing tradition of Ayruveda. Pittas are transformers and visionaries. Pittas are mostly fire and heat from our physical traits to our emotional tendencies.

We are naturally:

  • πŸ”₯ driven to succeed, yet often branded as "ambitious" as we crush goals and yet crave more
  • πŸ”₯ are more unapologetic, saying what we mean yet learned to tame our tongues with tact
  • πŸ”₯ resist help, preferring to figure it out on our own, as we're detailed oriented, committed and brilliant
  • πŸ”₯ more prone to anger, impatience, being perfectionist, have high expectations, and are critical of ourself or others

And in our pursuit, we Pittas get caught up in using mostly masculine energy – thinking, doing, achieving, controlling, all output energies – meaning we get burned out, exhausted, and extinguished by the vicious cycle ⭕️ of being fierce and ambitious without enough inputs of energy.

Think of us as a fire that burns itself out.

We need to find a balance, a reverse of this cycle.

  • ❀️‍πŸ”₯ One that nourishes us while we pursue with passion.
  • ❀️‍πŸ”₯ One that sustains us while we persevere with patience.
  • ❀️‍πŸ”₯ One that balance us while we accomplish with pleasure.

The approach to change this cycle is feminine energy, which is more natural to women and allows us to achieve just as much, with less exhaustion, and more joy.

And feminine energy is what turns on our feminine power, making us dangerous to the patriarchy.

So...

  • If you're tired, yet unwilling to settle πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ.
  • If you're a passionate, fiery Pitta woman called to transform lives or systems, yet averse to a life of hustle πŸ™‹πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ.
  • If you're a leader in any position of power and subscribe equally to all women succeeding together and taking a stand against misogyny πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ.

Then you're in the right place.

We're turning feminine power on ⚑️ in order to live a life of immense accomplishment and profound peace and, as a bonus, learning to become effortlessly dangerous to the patriarchy.

Tomorrow, Thursday March 23 at 2pm CT, I'll be revealing 3 simple ways to be dangerous to the patriarchy at work.

Don't worry, these ways aren't about to get you fired or cause drama. Rather they are to fill your cup up and feel more pleasure, presence, and peace at work.

They are mindset shifts rather than mischief tricks.

Reader, hey you. The women before us – or perhaps even you – have proved without shadow of a doubt that we can succeed as well as any man, but it came with a cost. The cost of denying our feminine: The epidemic of overwhelm, stress, and exhaustion amongst women. The disconnection from our bodies due to feeling unsafe, leading to pain, sickness, and loss of sensuality and sexuality. The trauma resulting from the idolization of the female body for the male gaze. The fatigue of always bearing...

I believe the next age of feminism will normalize women acting more like women & less like men. An age of honoring the feminine. My mother was part of the generation of women who proved without a shadow of a doubt that women can succeed in a man’s world by working like a man. That narrative has served its purpose, but now it is time for a new narrative that serves & honors women better. I am not a man. So I should not have to work like one to live a life that fulfills me. I am part of the...

Reader, hey you! I shared last week the story of a client who, within 2 weeks of starting to work with me, eliminated the pressure of anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm by implementing the daily 10-minute practice & changing nothing else. It touched my heart because I had the same experience: quick & potent results. And, truly, I'd love more women to feel this. So, I decided to teach this 10-minute practice, for the first and likely only time starting June 1. If you’re stressed,...
